Restorative Yoga - The ultimate practice of doing less to achieve more. Restorative yoga is a deeply soothing, slow-paced class aimed at calming the nervous system and easing mental fatigue. Students use props (blocks, blankets, and bolsters) to fully support the physical body in comfortable, passive poses held for several minutes. There is no sweating, active stretching, or strength building—only pure, deep rest. Drop the to-do list and leave feeling completely replenished. This class is taught by Cathy Vick and meets each Tuesday evening at 6pm in the library's community room. Cost is $20 for each six-week session. All levels welcome!
Chair Yoga - A modified version of traditional yoga! Well suited for older adults, people with mobility issues, or those who sit at a desk for an extended period of time. Click here for more details. Tai Chi - Weekly classes focusing on breathing and relaxing techniques. Click here for more information. Afternoon Readers Book Club - Join us each month for a new book. Click here for more information. Book Club Collection - View our collection here! |
